Welcome to UIWeekly

Another design blog?! I know what you’re thinking. But then again, why not? At UIWeekly, we’re going to be looking a lot at UI design and the impact it has on user experience. And it won’t be limited to the web. In fact, if things go smoothly, we’ll be addressing UI issues out in the real world (you know, the one outside your cave, Bill). Take for example this week’s focus of New York City’s UI. I just got back from 4 days in Manhattan and man am I impressed. With over 8 million people on this small island, effective UI is more than just a luxury - it’s a necessity. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue with the use of poor UI? Even good UI is at the mercy of its users, seen here when too many people try to exit the subway at the same time. Oh, and one more thing, text will be a rarity on this site as we’ll try to get our point across using images and video, except for maybe when Todd chimes in - he likes to show off his vocabulary.
